Balsamic glazed ham on a serving platter drizzled with Olive + Lavender Farms Barrel Aged Balsamic Vinegar

Balsamic Glazed Ham

12 servings | 2 hours + 5 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 1(8lb-10lb)ham shank ( cooked )
  • 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 1⁄2 Tbsp Barrel Aged Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 1⁄2 Tbsp Dijon mustard ( or to preference )

DIRECTIONS

  1. Remove ham from fridge 2 hours before it needs to go in oven.
  2. Place ham on cutting board and score with cuts in a diamond like pattern. This process allows the ham to absorb the glaze.
  3. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Then line the pan with foil before placing ham scored side down. Roast for 50 minutes. While the ham is in the oven, combine the brown sugar, balsamic and mustard in a bowl. Set aside.
  4. Remove ham from oven and baste with glaze, using about half of the glaze. Place ham back in oven to roast until brown.
  5. Brush ham with glaze every 10 minutes per pound of ham. Transfer ham to serving platter and let rest for 15 minutes before serving.
